Insider: Xiaomi 12 with Snapdragon 898 chip on board to launch in December

According to Chinese insider Ice Universe, Xiaomi will release its new flagship smartphone as early as this year.

What is known

The informant is sure that the novelty will debut in December. The device will come out with the name Xiaomi 12 and if the leaks are to be believed, it will come with the new top-of-the-line Snapdragon 898 processor on board. The chip is credited with a 20% increase in performance and having a new core layout: 1 + 3 + 2 + 2 instead of 1 + 3 + 4.

Besides the new chip, Xiaomi 12 should also get a Samsung E5 AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz, a triple main camera with 50 MP modules each, and the Android 12 operating system with the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition shell. How much the novelty will cost is not yet known.
