Hello from 2017 - the next iPhone SE will keep the design of the iPhone 8
The iPhone SE (2022) won't differ from the 2020 model in terms of design. A smartphone with an updated appearance will appear only in 2024.
What is known
Rumors of a new iPhone SE have been circulating throughout 2021, but the smartphone has never been presented. According to new information, it will be shown in the coming spring, and in terms of appearance, no changes can be expected. Support for 5G networks, combined with a low price, can force users to buy the upcoming novelty. Time will tell whether this compensates for the outdated appearance.
iPhone SE (2022) will borrow the design of the iPhone SE (2020), which in turn became a copy of the iPhone 8, released back in 2017. Yes, you can also remember the iPhone 7, announced in the fall of 2016, it has a metal case. The SE versions, like the eighth generation model, have a glass back cover.
* Update to this tweet! * The iPhone SE with a similar design to the XR / 11 with a slightly smaller screen size, has been pushed back to an expected release of 2024. For 2022, Apple will instead release an iPhone SE with 5G, a spec bump, and the same design as the 2020 model.

The redesign of the iPhone SE is only scheduled for 2024. That's when Apple plans to introduce a new SE in the iPhone Xr design (or the iPhone 11 with a dual camera).
