Google Search has learnt to check grammar using artificial intelligence
Google has added an artificial intelligence-based grammar checker to its search engine. The tool works on smartphones and desktops.
Here's What We Know
The feature lets you know if a phrase or sentence is grammatically correct and how to correct it. It is currently only available in English.
To activate the tool, you need to add the phrase "grammar check", "check grammar" or "grammar checker" to your search query. The function can work without refinement, but this guarantees its activation.
If the sentence is written without errors, there will be a green tick in the grammar check section.
Otherwise, Google will rewrite the sentence and emphasise what has been changed. When you hover over the corrected version, a "Copy" button will appear.
The feature is powered by artificial intelligence. The company warns that the grammar checker may not always be accurate, especially with incomplete sentences. The tool will also fail to launch if the query violates Google Search rules.
