Google prepares to launch Gemini chatbot powered by artificial intelligence - The Information

Google has given access to an early version of Gemini, a dialogue-based artificial intelligence software, to a limited number of companies.

Here's What We Know

According to media reports, Gemini is intended to compete with OpenAI's GPT-4 model. It is a set of language models for chatbots, text summarisation and content generation.

Gemini should also help developers write code and create images.

Google is currently giving access to a relatively large version of Gemini, but not the maximum version, which will be analogue to GPT-4.

The plan is for companies to be able to use Gemini through Google's Cloud Vertex AI service.

The company has not commented on this information.
