Meta has announced an update for Ray-Ban smart glasses with support for artificial intelligence technology. Now the AI assistant in the glasses will be able to recognise surrounding objects and translate texts.
Here's What We Know
Meta head Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated the new features in an Instagram video. He asked the glasses to suggest trousers to a shirt he was holding in his hands. The AI analysed the appearance of the shirt and gave out several variants of suitable trousers.

In addition, the updated glasses assistant is now able to automatically create photo captions and translate texts. This is typical AI functionality from Meta, Microsoft, and Google.
For now, the new AI features will be available for testing to a limited number of users in the US. The company plans to expand access and add other AI-powered options in the future.
