Chinese tech giant Baidu has partnered with Samsung to integrate Ernie's AI chatbot into its new flagship Galaxy S24 smartphones.

Here's What We Know

This solution will allow the smartphone owners to transfer phone calls in real-time using artificial intelligence capabilities.

Ernie is capable of understanding and generating human-like text and speech in response to user queries. Baidu claims that the functionality of this AI assistant is on par with that of OpenAI's GPT-4 model.

Samsung will integrate Ernie to expand the functionality of its digital assistant. This will increase the competitiveness of new flagship smartphones in Asian markets, where the company is actively fighting for leadership with Chinese brands.

Experts predict that the integration of AI into mobile devices will grow aggressively as semiconductor technology advances. Baidu's partnership with Samsung is a prime example of this.
