The Czech Republic has received the first US Bell UH-1Y Venom helicopter in service
The Czech Air Force has received the first Bell UH-1Y Venom helicopter into service.

The information was shared by the Ministry of Defence of the country. The first Bell UH-1Y Venom has the flight number 0490. The Czech Republic will receive a total of 10 such helicopters from the United States under the 2021 contract. The second Bell UH-1Y Venom will be handed over to the Czech Army by mid-September. By the way, the Czech Republic bought Bell UH-1Y Venom helicopters to replace the Mi-24/35 and Mi-17/171. Some of these helicopters have already been handed over to Ukraine, and some may be handed over in the future.

The Bell UH-1Y Venom is a versatile mid-sized, twin-engine helicopter. It was created under the H-1 upgrade programme for the US Marine Corps. After being accepted into service in 2008, the UH-1Y is in mass production.
