One crypto investor decided to become the lucky owner of CryptoPunks most expensive NFT. In order to do that he took a loan, auctioned token #9998 of Larva Labs studio for $532.4 million (124.4 ETH) and bought it from himself, after which he returned the borrowed funds. The commission for the purchase was $800 (0.19 ETH).
Some recent large bids were done the same way. The ether is offered and removed in a single transaction. So, while technically briefly valid, the bid may never be accepted. We'll add filtering to avoid generating notifications for these kinds of transactions in the future. 2/2

Sadly, the owner of the most expensive NFT from the CryptoPunks collection was a crafty investor for a short time. Larva Labs representatives stated that the transaction was illegal, because the seller and the buyer were the same person. In the future, the company plans to add a filtering system that will not bring such transactions to the top. So #7523 (Alien) continues to be the most expensive non-interchangeable token from CryptoPunks.
