Amazon shut down 3,000 Chinese online stores for paid reviews

Major e-commerce site Amazon has blocked 3,000 stores owned by 600 Chinese brands.

What's the reason?

Amazon is quick to respond to sores policy violations. The company says it is shutting down 3,000 online stores for systematically posting positive reviews.

This is not the first time Amazon has punished the guilty in this way, but this blockage is the largest ever. However, Cindy Tai, vice president of sales in Asia, said that it would not have a negative impact on the development of Chinese companies on the site.

Let's remind that the fight against paid positive reviews Amazon began five years ago. The company says it will continue to improve its mechanisms for finding online stores that violate the rules of the e-commerce platform.
