OnePlus Open has gone to Bollywood: the foldable smartphone is already being used by a famous Indian actress

OnePlus has yet to officially unveil its first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open, but rumours about it have been circulating for a while now. The presentation was expected back in August, but it still hasn't happened. It looks like the official launch is just around the corner after all, as the novelty was spotted in the hands of a popular Indian actress.

Paparazzi in India photographed actress Anushka Sharma in a car, who was using a foldable smartphone OnePlus Open. Perhaps she showed it off on purpose, or maybe she just wasn't trying to keep the gadget a secret. Either way, this means that the smartphone is ready and is likely to make its official debut soon.

According to leaks, the OnePlus Open will feature a 7.8-inch internal 2K display with 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 16GB of RAM, 256GB storage and a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Insiders expect the foldable smartphone to be unveiled on 19 October.
