Xiaomi TV A50: 4K TV with automatic brightness adjustment for $218

Xiaomi has unexpectedly announced a new budget smart TV in China.

Here's What We Know

The novelty was named Xiaomi TV A50. The gadget received a 50-inch display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The panel has a resolution of 3840×2160p and a viewing angle of 178 degrees. The screen supports 1.07 billion colours. The TV has a mode of automatic brightness adjustment, as well as support for flicker reduction.

Under the bonnet of the novelty there is a chip with four Cortex A35 cores. It works in tandem with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM. The device has Wi-Fi (2.4/5.0 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, two USB Type-A, two HDMI, 1AV, one ATV/DTMB, one Ethernet interface and one S/PDIF port for audio. The TV comes with MIUI TV OS on board and XiaoAI's proprietary voice assistant.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The Xiaomi TV A50 is already available for pre-order in China for $218. Sales of the TV will start on 31 December.
