In a notification sent to users, TikTok announced the upcoming launch of a new photo sharing app called TikTok Notes. According to the information, TikTok Notes will provide access to existing and future public TikTok photo posts, as well as allow users to conveniently share their creativity through photos and text.

The new URL, photo.tiktok.com, has been posted online with a suggestion to open a post in the TikTok Notes app. Judging by the published image, the app will also offer the option to write a caption next to your photo.

Last month, it was reported that TikTok was working on a similar project called TikTok Photos, and now with the launch of TikTok Notes, this app is getting closer to its official release. This could pose a significant challenge for Instagram, as TikTok already has a significant user base that is likely to be interested in the new photo space.
