Veteran Blizzard art director retires after 32 years with the company

Blizzard has announced that Samwise Didier is leaving the studio after 32 years of work. This was also announced by Didier himself on his Twitter account:

In his statement, Didier said that he had been working for Blizzard since 1991 and noted how long and big this journey had been before him. During his career at the studio, he gained invaluable experience in various aspects of game development, from user interface design to 3D model creation.

Didier's creative contributions have been featured in numerous Blizzard titles, dating back to the studio's early days as Silicon & Synapse. His work is reflected in old masterpieces such as The Lost Vikings and Blackthorne, as well as in recent projects such as Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2.
