Soon, the fighting game platformer Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will have new characters
At the time, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was one of the most content-rich games of its kind, and thanks to a steady stream of DLC after launch, it became even more content-rich over the following years. And despite the fact that official support was ending and the last character expansion pack was released in October 2021, Nintendo has announced a content update.
For five days starting 1/11, new spirits from various series' latest titles, such as The Legend of #Zelda: #TearsOfTheKingdom and #Splatoon3, will be making their way to the #SmashBrosUltimate Spirit Board! Defeat them in battle to earn more gold than usual. pic.twitter.com/OlLHn3C1sm

Here's What We Know
On the 11th of January, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will have new characters that players will be able to add to their board. Judging by the illustrations published by Nintendo, we will get Rauru from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Oatchi from Pikmin 4, Noah and Mio from Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Shiver and Frye from Splatoon 3.
Although several years have passed since the launch of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, little is known about the future of this franchise. Back in November 2021, the creator and director of the series, Masahiro Sakurai, said that he had not yet thought about the next Smash game, and later added that the next game should probably reduce its roster of fighters.
