Epic Games shuts down Fortnite's speedrun after it started sending players skyward
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 can hardly be called a stable update. There were many bugs in the game, ranging from constant crashes of the game servers at the start to flying people in the sky.
Here's What We Know
Back at the end of December, videos began to appear on the Web, where players simply run on the map and are suddenly thrown straight into the stratosphere after which death occurs. According to the players, the height is not constant and differs from time to time. Someone is lucky and before death he will fly over the map like a bird, and someone is simply thrown to the side, where he dies immediately. From the outside it may look very funny, but players who just want to play the game normally are unlikely to laugh.
The developers already know about the bug and temporarily disabled the ability to run fast in the game.
Due to issues, we have temporarily disabled Hurdling. Players are still able to Mantle over taller obstacles. Fixes are coming soon and we'll provide an update when the issues are resolved. pic.twitter.com/Mkx7ErZ00n
