Not DOTA 3, but very close. Valve has released the biggest update for DOTA 2, which brings a huge number of innovations and changes

So, the old Dota 3 joke is suddenly no longer a joke.

Valve has released such a major update for Dota 2 that it could well be called a new game.

Patch 7.33 was named "New Frontiers" and brings so many changes to the game that there is no point in listing them all, let's stop at the most important:

  • The developers enlarged the map by 40%;
  • Significantly changed its landscape;
  • Introduced 12 new neutral creep camps;
  • Changed basic game mechanics;
  • Significantly changed the abilities and characteristics of the characters, and some of them were moved into a separate category of "universal heroes";
  • A second Roshan's lair was added, with the monster now moving from one place to another as day and night change. Depending on where players kill it, they will receive different items;
  • Many special objects and zones have been added to the map;
  • New artifacts and neutral items were added;
  • The ranking system has been changed.

This is a brief list of changes; fans of Dota 2 should get acquainted in detail with all the innovations on the official website.

To better understand the patch 7.33, we recommend watching the matches of professional teams. For example, the final round of DreamLeague S19 kicks off on April 22 and the ESL One Berlin Major kicks off next week.
