We'll have to wait. Hollow Knight: Silksong is postponed again indefinitely
Fans of the action-platformer Hollow Knight have been waiting for a sequel, subtitled Silksong, for years.
The developers promised a release in the first half of 2023, but they've changed their plans.
Here's What We Know
Matthew Griffin, head of marketing at Hollow Knight: Silksong, has taken to Twitter to let fans know that the game's release has been postponed indefinitely.
Hey gang, just a quick update about Silksong.
- Matthew Griffin (@griffinmatta) May 10, 2023
We had planned to release in the 1st half of 2023, but development is still continuing. We're excited by how the game is shaping up, and it's gotten quite big, so we want to take the time to make the game as good as we can.
Expect...
This is because the game has grown considerably in scope during development. In order to release the project in the highest quality state possible, Team Cherry's gamemakers need to devote more time than expected to the game.
Matthew Griffin has promised to reveal more details about the game closer to its release, but for now we know that the game will be available on PC, Xbox (+Game Pass), PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
