Media: EU regulators are leaning towards approving a deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard. Decision could come as early as May 15
The world's regulatory commissions continue to analyse the potential implications of the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
After the British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) blocked the merger last month, the US corporations have high hopes for the EU commission's decision.
Here's What We Know
According to Reuters, EU regulators will issue their decision on May 15, and it is likely to be in favour of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
It is reported that European regulators have taken into account the arguments of teams of Phil Spencer and Bobby Kotick. One of the main arguments of the Americans was the conclusion of long-term agreements with Nintendo, Valve and a number of cloud services, which will make Microsoft games, and subsequently Activision Blizzard, available to a maximum number of gamers. This will allay the fears of regulators about Microsoft's monopoly on the gaming market, of course, especially for the Call of Duty series.
The EU has to announce its decision until May 22.
