Insider: Sony wants to buy CD Projekt, but Polish developers deny the information
Rumours that Sony wants to buy the Polish company CD Projekt have been going around since the autumn of 2022. Over time, the topic has subsided, but this past weekend it was back on the radar.

An insider under the nickname Liz, who specializes in news about updates and add-ons for Destiny 2, reported in his Discord server that Sony is planning to buy CD Projekt.
CD Projekt's senior PR manager Ola Sondej immediately denied the information. According to her, the company is not in any such talks with Sony.

That may be true, but leaks like this, which appear with enviable consistency, don't usually happen without a reason. There's probably some behind-the-scenes talk going on after all, and besides, there's no reason why Sony wouldn't want developers like CD Projekt and the rights to franchises like The Witcher and Cyberpunk at their disposal.
