Hideo Kojima is actively involved in the creation of Death Stranding, but he is not the film's director
In December last year, it became known that a film based on the "courier simulator" Death Stranding was being prepared, and the producer was Alex Lebovici and the game's creator Hideo Kojima. But many people were interested in the question: what exactly will Kojima's involvement in the project be? Well, it seems we have the answer.
Here's What We Know
Recently, the "genius" posted a tweet in which he said that he was responsible for most aspects of the project, from story creation to design:
Just to be clear, I am deeply involved in the production, supervising, plotting, look, design and content of the film adaptation of DS, just not in charge of directing.

Therefore, the question of who will direct the film still remains open. Details on the cast are also not yet known, but will probably be announced later.
Meanwhile, Kojima Productions is also working on "Death Stranding 2", which is being developed for PS5. The release date of the sequel is not yet known, but earlier rumours were heard that it could see the light of day in 2024.
