Square Enix employees asked the head of Final Fantasy to create a remake of Final Fantasy 6
It has become known that Square Enix employees have approached the Final Fantasy brand manager with a question about the possibility of creating a remake of Final Fantasy 6.

During the official roundtable dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series, the brand manager and producer of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Yoshinori Kitase, spoke about the potential remake of Final Fantasy 6:
"I think it's going to be a challenge to make a Final Fantasy 6 remake. Given that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not yet complete, it is difficult for me to discuss it. However, there are many Final Fantasy 6 fans in the company who often ask me: 'When will we see a remake of 6?

The creator of the Final Fantasy series, Hironobu Sakaguchi, who also took part in the discussion, explained that remaking Final Fantasy 6 would be a challenge due to its pixel-based nature rather than 3D graphics. He noted that changing the story and reimagining the game in 3D would require a lot of work.
Final Fantasy 6 was originally released on the SNES in 1994 and later ported to the PlayStation in 1999 and Game Boy Advance in 2006.
