The film adaptation of the indie game Five Five Nights at Freddy's managed to earn the most money among other horror films in 2023.

Over the past weekend, the film grossed $3.3 million in the US, making it the first horror film to do so this year. Since its premiere on 25 October, the film has grossed just over $132 million in the US and $139 million worldwide. The total gross is $271 million. The previous record in 2023 was set by The Nun 2, which grossed $268 million.
The film had a very modest budget of about $20 million, and from the first day of its release, it was available on the Peacock streaming service. However, people still preferred to go to the cinema, so Five Five Nights at Freddy's can already be called a success in terms of revenue.

The film adaptation of Five Five Nights at Freddy's received only 30% freshness from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but the audience highly appreciated the film and gave it 87% freshness.
