"Echo" and the only theatrical release of the year, "Deadpool 3," will target adult audiences, instead of the usual PG-13 zone that Marvel Studios has been targeting for the past 15 years. While this may seem like something of a risk for the biggest franchise, the reaction so far has only been positive.
"Echo" will be the first series under the "Marvel Spotlight" banner on Disney+, a new label that will encompass a number of projects mostly outside of "MCU continuity" that don't require viewers to watch a dozen films to understand the plot.
Series Overview
The show will be about Maya Lopez - a deaf athlete known as "Echo". The girl is a former mafia leader who is able to perfectly copy the movements of other people. The series will show her path from antagonist to crime fighter.
When We Can Expect It
"Echo" will be released on 10 January 2024, on Disney+
