From TV series to saga: The Mandalorian and Grogoo will get a full-length film - shooting is set to begin in 2024
Star Wars fans are in for some incredible news as it is reported that a feature film titled "The Mandalorian & Grogu" is in development.
Here's What We Know
The Mandalorian and baby Yoda will be heading to the big screen under the direction of Jon Favreau, who is not ashamed to share his genuine excitement about it:
"I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created", Favreau said. "The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting".
The film will be developed by Lucasfilm, with Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni on board. Filming is scheduled to begin as early as this year.
Kennedy noted that this story of beloved characters from the series "The Mandalorian" is ideal for the big screen and promised that the Mandalorian and Grogoo will be at the top of the list of films being developed by the studio.
As a reminder, Dave Filoni is currently busy working on the second season of "Ahsoka" as well.
