We have already written many times that Ukraine is to receive German Leopard 1 tanks from its partners. It seems that the first batch of weapons is on its way.
Here's What We Know
The information was shared by the Dutch publication De Standaard. We are talking about 50 tanks Leopard 1. They were bought by an unknown country from Belgium (most likely, it was the Netherlands). The combat vehicles were repaired. In addition, modern armament was installed on them. On Monday, 7 August, the tanks were sent to Ukraine.

Flashback
The Leopard 1 is Germany's main battle tank. It was started to be developed after World War II together with France, but then the co-operation was stopped. The Leopard 1 is in service with 12 countries. Thanks to the modernisation programme, it is still in use. By the way, by 1984, about 4,744 units of Leopard 1 were produced. The tank participated in the Bosnian War, as well as in the War in Afghanistan.
