Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is now a remaster, not a remake: developers have changed plans to update the game
A surprising mishap has happened with the updated version of the satirical action game Lollipop Chainsaw.
Here's What We Know
Developers from Dragami Games studio previously stated that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is a complete remake and implies a lot of improvements and innovations. However, unexpectedly, the project's producer Yoshimi Yasuda stated that "by numerous requests of gamers" RePOP moved from the category of remakes to the category of remasters.
私たちは皆さんの要望を踏まえRePOPのゲームデザインをRemakeからRemasterに変更しました...!!!

In the comments under the producer's post, users reasonably noted that no one would ask for a simple remaster instead of a full-fledged remake. There are two options: either the developers initially chose the wrong term, or the development went wrong and they decided to limit themselves to small improvements in graphics. In any case, the studio Dragami Games is unlikely to reveal the true reason for such a strange decision.
When We Can Expect It
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is scheduled for release in the summer of 2024.
