The cards are in the players' hands: CD Projekt Red stops active support for Gwent and creates a "Balance Board" for gamers to make changes themselves

CD Projekt Red has released the latest update for the free-to-play card game Gwent in the Witcher universe. Now the fate of the game will be in the hands of players.

Here's What We Know

Update 11.10 brings many changes to the maps. You can read more about the update here, but this was the last time the authors made changes themselves. Now everything depends only on the players, as active support for the game has stopped. In the future, the game will only receive bug fixes and nothing else.

However, the game has introduced a Balance Council. The Balance Council allows players who have won 25 ranked games in the current season and are in the first rank to vote for changes once a month.

Balance Council

The Balance Council is located in the main menu, where players can choose three cards they want to make changes to. The first choice is worth three votes, the second - two, and the third - one. A card must receive 50 votes for changes to take place, but there can be a maximum of 15 changes per month. The reason for such restrictions is to prevent players from creating chaos. The authors have published a full list of the Balance Board rules here.
