Blizzard launches the second stage of the Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic with a new 40-level cap and the Gnomeregan raid

Blizzard has released a major update for World of Warcraft Classic, marking the beginning of the second stage of the Season of Discovery. The update gives players the opportunity to go all the way to level 40, unlocking a new challenge at the end of the game in the form of a raid on Gnomeregan.

Here's What We Know

In this phase, Gnomeregan has undergone some transformations, turning from a 5-player dungeon into a 10-player raid. Each boss in the raid has been redesigned, resulting in a total of six bosses for players to face. Players can look forward to receiving new loot inspired by classic World of Warcraft items, including the coveted Automatic Crowd Pummeler.

Interestingly, two new runes have been introduced for each of the nine playable classes, offering players additional options for customising the functionality of their chosen class. These runes provide a variety of options, allowing for unique builds, such as the tank mage, and increasing the damage of classes, such as warriors with additional abilities

On the PvP front, players can take part in the new Blood Moon world event, which takes place every three hours in Stranglethorn Vale. This event encourages battles between players by offering additional rewards in the form of new equipment.

For newcomers to Season of Discovery, there is a 50 per cent experience buff, making it easy to quickly progress to the previous maximum level 25 and allowing players to join the community on their collective journey to the new maximum level 40.
