Here's What We Know

The Pentagon's website announced the signing of a $52 million contract with Lockheed Martin. The agreement includes the production and delivery of three radar stations, personnel training, spare parts and temporary contractor support. Work is expected to be completed by the end of February 2027.

The AN/TPS-77 multifunctional radar can detect air threats within a radius of 470 kilometres at an altitude of up to 30.5 kilometres. The radar provides air defence forces with information on azimuth, altitude and distance to the target.
