The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) continues to study unidentified flying objects. The federal agency has formed a special commission for this purpose.

Here's What We Know

The team included 16 specialists. The commission was headed by astrophysicist David Spergel. The team will look into unidentified flying object incidents that [the incidents] have not been classified. The first phase will last for nine months, meaning the results will be published in mid-2023.

The purpose of the commission is to study incidents that cannot be linked to natural phenomena and drones. By the way, instead of UFOs is now used a broader term - Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP).
