CPU performance increased by 36%
File sharing between Android and Apple gadgets will be easier than ever
The utility is available only for Windows devices with Snapdragon chips
The chip is budget-friendly but shows excellent performance
The performance of gadgets will reach unprecedented levels
Qualcomm announced a new system-on-chip, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, successor to last year’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. This is a major update for the 6s series, as it uses a 4nm process for the first time, resulting in a 36% increase in CPU performance and 59% faster graphics compared to its predecessor.
According to insider @Jukanlosreve, the new Exynos 2600 will be more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Apple A19 Pro. In particular, its NPU (neural processor) will be 6 times faster than the one used in the iPhone 17 Pro and will outperform Snapdragon in artificial intelligence tasks by 30%. But even outside AI scenarios, the Exynos 2600 shows impressive results: multi-core CPU performance is 14% higher, and the GPU is 75% faster than the Apple A19 Pro and up to 29% faster than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Perhaps this will happen in no small part because the Exynos 2600 is manufactured (as insiders claim) using a 2-nm process, while competitors from Qualcomm and Apple are made using a 3-nm process.
The third rooster hasn't yet croaked and most manufacturers haven't even had time to present their flagships on Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and Xiaomi is already thinking about how its HyperOS will work with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950). Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 has already been mentioned in the code of the latest HyperOS builds.
All details of the mobile processor will be announced at Snapdragon Summit
Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Book4 Edge laptop with Qualcomm Snapdragon X chip in India. The model is available for Indian customers at a price of INR 64,990.
Qualcomm is developing a new processor for the Snapdragon Wear smartwatch, which is similar in architecture to the Exynos W1000, the chip that debuted with the first Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 will deliver significant performance gains
Performance of top smartphones will reach a new level
Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset back in October last year, so one would expect its successor, tentatively called Elite 2, to debut in October this year. However, according to rumours from China, the announcement of the new product will take place at the end of September.
