Fortem Technologies introduced a new version of the DroneHunter F700 drone to eliminate Shahed-136 and Orlan-type UAVs
The U.S. company Fortem Technologies announced an unmanned aerial vehicle that can be used to counter Russian drones such as the Orlan and Iranian Shahed-136. The system is called the DroneHunter F700.
Here's What We Know
The DroneHunter F700 is equipped with DrogueNet, with which it can capture enemy drones. The system has radar to track the UAVs and sensors that give the operator information about the intercepted target.
The DroneHunter F700 fires nets to capture an enemy drone. It can then deliver the intercepted target to the operator or lower it to the ground with a parachute. The system takes about three minutes to recharge.
According to the manufacturer, during tests, the efficiency was 85 percent. Fortem Technologies says the DroneHunter F700 can intercept Orlan-10s, Shahed-136s and other drones up to 500 kg that fly at altitudes up to 5.5 km. The company believes that the upgraded system could interest the Ukrainian military.
