Poland receives US MQ-9A Reaper drone to be used for reconnaissance on eastern border
The Polish army has received an American MQ-9A Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle.

Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak shared the information. Poland did not buy the drone, but leased it from the US Army. Poles plan to purchase their own UAV in the future.

The Polish Air Force will use the MQ-9A Reaper for reconnaissance on the country's eastern border.
Flashback
The MQ-9 Reaper is a modular reconnaissance and attack drone. It is manufactured by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. It is in service with the US and UK armies. The first flight of the UAV made in 2001.
The drone has a turboprop engine, which allows speeds of over 400 km/h. The MQ-9 Reaper is capable of flying at an altitude of up to 13 km.
