Rumor: Apple had planned to show a budget Apple Pencil at the iPhone 14 presentation, but canceled the project at the last minute
According to an insider, Apple was planning to release a budget Apple Pencil this year.
Here's What We Know
The device went by the codename Marker. It wasn't supposed to have a pressure sensor and a battery. Instead of a battery, the stylus was planned to have a chip that would be powered by the screen, similar to the S Pen in Samsung devices. The gadget would work with the iPad and iPhone.
The new Apple Pencil even supported the iPhone, but the project was terminated closer to launch. It is said that more than one million levels had been stocked at that time, and now they should all be scrapped.(2/2)
