Iran will not contribute to the escalation in Ukraine: Iranian representative denied information about the transfer of unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia
Recently, U.S. intelligence reported that Iran is planning to transfer UAVs to Russia, as well as to train Russian soldiers how to use them. The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied this information.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani told reporters that they have no intentions of selling drones to Russia and Iran is not going to contribute to the escalation in Ukraine. Kanaani also added that Iran's military cooperation with Russia began before the full-scale war in Ukraine, but now there is no development in this direction.
Naturally, the refusal of Iran does not mean that Russia will not find some shady opportunities to obtain foreign weapons. But such supplies will definitely not be massive and they will not solve all of Russia's needs.
