Associated Press: Iran uses kamikaze drone Shahed-136 to hit oil tanker owned by Israeli billionaire
Iran carried out a drone strike against an oil tanker 150 km off the coast of Oman.
Here's What We Know
A drone attack on the Liberian-flagged oil tanker Pacific Zircon took place on the evening of November 15. An Israeli official anonymously told the Associated Press. The attack on the tanker was carried out by a Shahed-136 drone. Earlier, Russian military strikes Iranian kamikaze drone Shahed 136 on Ukrainian infrastructure.
As for the Pacific Zircon tanker, it belongs to Eastern Pacific Shipping, the ultimate beneficiary of which is the Israeli billionaire Idan Ofer.
Incidentally, Iran has not yet officially accepted the blame for the strike, but it is known that Tehran has been waging a long-standing hybrid war with Israel in the Middle East. Iran has repeatedly attacked Israeli-linked ships in the Persian Gulf with drones.
