Here's What We've Seen
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine reports that special units practiced landing of combat groups on the battlefield, evacuation, landing from landing ropes and night flights.
The Black Hawk helicopter is designed to fire both guided and unguided Hellfire missiles. It can act both in support of infantry and to carry a variety of cargo. The Black Hawk is an easy to fly and has a high horizontal flight rate. It can stay in continuous flight for about three hours. The Black Hawk is capable of covering a distance of over 600 km. According to its crews and pilots, it outperforms its Soviet counterparts Mi-8 and Mi-24 in virtually all aspects.
The Ukrainian crews have mastered the Black Hawk in a matter of hours: they performed flights on the same day the Black Hawk arrived in Ukraine.
According to the helicopter's first pilot, this Black Hawk is already taking an active part in combat operations, including in enemy territory.
