Czech Republic receives first batch of TITUS armoured vehicles on Tatra 6×6 chassis
The Czech Army has received new TITUS (Tactical Infantry Transport and Utility System) armoured vehicles.
Here's What We Know
It is about 6 vehicles based on the Tatra 6×6 chassis. The Czech Republic ordered a total of 62 such vehicles in different modifications: a command and control vehicle, an artillery control vehicle and a communications vehicle. The contract was signed back in 2017.
The TITUS is produced by the French company Nexter and the Czech company Tatra Defence Vehicle. The vehicle accommodates up to 13 people. It weighs 17-23 tons (depending on armor and modification) and can accelerate up to 90 km/h. The TITUS was shown for the first time in 2013. The vehicle is 7.55 metres long, 2.55 metres wide and 2.73 metres high.
