US A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft arrive in the UK for Defender 23 exercise
More than a month ago, the Defender 23 exercise began in Europe. The US Air Force sent A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft to participate in the event.
Here's What We Know
The legendary attack aircraft have arrived in the UK. The aircraft from 442nd Fighter Wing, based at Whiteman Air Force Base, will be used to provide close air support.
There'll be tons of Warthog A10 photos from this evening at Prestwick AFB. ???? Here's one of mine. It was lovely meeting fellow enthusiasts. Such great community. ????

Defender 23 is a multinational joint exercise focused on improving interoperability between the US, NATO allies and partners. More than 7,000 US troops and 17,000 military personnel from more than 20 countries participate.
Note that Air Defender 2023 is about to start in Europe. The A-10 Thunderbolt II will also take part. The US Air Force is also sending dozens of other aircraft to Europe, including fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II fighters.
