Rafale and Eurofighter Typhoon fighters successfully intercepted two US B-52H Stratofortress nuclear bombers in Europe
NATO forces conducted an exercise involving French Rafale and British Eurofighter Typhoon fighters and US nuclear bombers. The event took place over the Baltic.
Here's What We Know
The purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate the joint combat readiness of allied fighter aircraft currently patrolling the airspace over the Baltic States and the Baltic Sea. This week, the UK's Royal Air Force released some remarkable images taken during the exercise.

The service's statement noted that the US B-52H Stratofortress nuclear bombers were successfully intercepted by Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft belonging to the 1st Squadron. At the same time, French Dassault Rafale fighters can also be seen in the photos.
After the successful interception, the aircraft were escorted by American bombers flying towards Western Europe. In addition to the Rafale and Typhoon, a French Airbus A300 MRTT air tanker took part in the exercise.
