Thales Australia has handed over new ACAR assault rifles to the AFU for testing

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received modern Australian ACAR assault rifles.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by the company Thales Australia. The manufacturer does not disclose the number of rifles. It is only known that Thales Australia supplied ACAR in two modifications: with a calibre of 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm. The rifles were handed over to Ukraine for testing. That is, it is not a contract. If the feedback about the rifle is positive, Thales Australia plans to enter the European market with it.

By the way, ACAR is still at the testing stage. Full-fledged presentation of the weapon is scheduled for September. The release of the rifle should take place during the DSEI defence exhibition, which will be held in the UK.
