US announces new $200m aid package for Ukraine, which includes AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles and other weapons

The United States of America announced the 53rd aid package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Washington.

Here's What We Know

The new aid package is for $200,000,000,000 and includes:

• AIM-9 Sidewinder air defence missiles;
• Air defence system components;
• Additional ammunition for HIMARS MLRS;
• 155mm and 105mm artillery shells;
• High-velocity anti-radar missiles (HARM);
• TOW anti-tank missiles;
• Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems;
• Over 4 million rounds of small arms ammunition;
• Explosive munitions for obstacle clearance;
• Equipment to protect critical infrastructure;
• Spare parts, generators, and repair and other support equipment.
