Hitman 3 will get a new roguelike game mode
IO Interactive introduced upcoming announcements for Hitman 3 as part of the Year 2 update, the main one being a new game mode freelancer.
Hitman Freelancer puts Agent 47 in his own hideout, from which various missions will be available. Each mission will give clues as to who is the main leader until you finally run into him. Head designer Thorbjorn Christensen says that even then it won't be completely clear who the main boss is, and you'll need to use all the information gathered in the previous levels to decipher who it is.
“You can't learn missions. You have to think every time,” Christensen continued. Leaders will also have deadly companions that are hidden from view, or other NPCs that can scare or warn the leader and encourage them to flee.
Apart from these NPCs, there are several other elements that will make the Freelancer campaign unique. You can find safes, hidden caches and even other assassins. Also, suppliers will be scattered throughout the levels, where you can buy tools and create your own arsenal. If something happened to your item, it means that it is gone forever. You will have to look for a supplier again to replace it.
Starting January 20, the full edition will be released for all new players Hitman Trilogy. All three games in the relaunched series will appear in one digital bundle on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and RS - how in Epic Games Store, as well as in Steam. The trilogy will also be available to subscribers Xbox Game Pass. A mode freelancer coming to HITMAN 3 this spring.
