The old popular Xiaomi smartphone on Android One received the first update in 2022
Xiaomi remembered the old smartphone, presented as part of the Android One program back in 2019, and released a firmware update for it.
In 2019, the company introduced only one model without MIUI, and you guessed it, we are talking about Xiaomi Mi A3, the global version of the Chinese Xiaomi CC9e. The smartphone appeared on the market with Android 9.0 Pie, but eventually switched to the Android 10 and Android 11 operating systems.
Recently, Xiaomi Mi A3 received the December update of almost 500 MB. The new update fits into a modest 12.29 MB. The firmware number is v12.0.18.0 RFQMIXM. The shell is still built on Android 11 and with a high degree of probability the model will do without Android 12.
12.29 MB was enough for the company to send the operating system security patch for January 2022. This is not the latest software update. This year, the smartphone will receive a few more updates. The final one will be out in July.
