32 projects in a day – more than 1,000 new cryptocurrencies appeared on the market in January

If the capitalization of the cryptocurrency market either falls or grows, the number of virtual coins is constantly increasing.

Over 1,000 new cryptocurrencies were created last month alone, i.e. about 32 per day on average. Currently, the total number of digital currencies is approximately 17,200 pieces, i.e. in a month it increased by more than 6%.

Last year, the number of cryptocurrencies doubled from 8,100 to 16,200. The graph is 21 new currencies per day. If developers maintain a growth rate of 6% per month, then by the end of the year there will be 32,400 tokens on the market, i.e. twice as many as at the beginning of 2022.
