PlayStation System Update Beta to Add Pinning, UI Improvements, and Voice Commands
The next PlayStation system update will give PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners more control over the party, the ability to pin games and apps, games can be filtered by genre, and more. The new features will be tested in a beta starting today.

The full list of updates looks like this:
- Now, when starting a party, you can make it “Open” or “Closed”
- PS4 will allow you to change the volume of each participant in the party
- Voice chats will be renamed to Hangouts
- The PS5 interface will allow you to sort games by genre
- Add the "Keep in Home" function - it allows you to save up to five applications on the home screen
- Up to 14 apps will be displayed on the home screen
- Updated the design of cards with trophies
- Added new languages for the "Screen Reader" function - Polish, Korean, Arabic, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese.
- PS5 will allow you to turn on mono sound for headphones
- Voice commands coming to PS5, although Sony has said the feature is very early in development
Access to the beta will be available to members in the US, Canada, Japan, UK, Germany, and France, with the patch rolling out to other regions later this year.
