From May 4, Blizzard will allow players from Ukraine, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkey to pay for purchases in their national currency

Since March, Blizzard has been looking for an opportunity to provide players from Ukraine, Georgia, Turkey and Kazakhstan to pay for purchases in their national currency. Now it will be possible from May 4.

What else is known

  • The Ukrainian hryvnia, the Kazakhstani tenge, the Georgian lari and the Turkish lira will add to the list of Battle.net currencies from May 4, 2022.
  • It became known about it in the newsletter for players April 29 from Blizzard.
  • The choice of currency will be made depending on the country specified in the profile.
  • After Blizzard adds support for these currencies, players will be able to pay for purchases and subscriptions to World of Warcraft again.
  • Earlier, this possibility disappeared after Blizzard imposed restrictions on Russia.

Since the beginning of March 2022, players have not been able to pay for purchases on Battle.net. During this time, the company twice gave World of Warcraft players from the above countries a month of free subscription.
