One of the leaders of Butyrka built a mining farm right at his workplace. The equipment mined cryptocurrency for several months.

The head of the security department, together with unidentified persons, delivered technical equipment for mining digital currency to the mental hospital. The equipment worked from the end of the autumn of last year to the end of the winter of the current year. During this time, 8379.45 kW of energy was spent on the production of cryptocurrency in the amount of more than $1100 at the current official exchange rate of the Russian ruble.

The ward for violent patients became the center of mining. What income was brought by the extraction of cryptocurrency is not specified. The head of the prison security department faces a sentence of four years in prison.
