Xiaomiui reports that Xiaomi is preparing an update to MIUI 13 for three smartphone models: Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 and POCO M2.

When to expect?

Since these are low-end devices that were released in 2020, there were suspicions that they would not receive MIUI 13. However, according to the leak, the manufacturer is already internally testing MIUI 13 based on Android 12 on these smartphones.

According to the latest information available, the MIUI 13 internal stable build is ready for Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 and POCO M2. The update build numbers for Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 and POCO M2 MIUI 13 are V13.0.0.5.SJOMIXM, V13.0.0.4.SJCMIXM and V13.0.0.5.SJRINXM.

It is reported that the firmware will be distributed from the third quarter of 2022, that is, already in the summer (July-August).
