France denied reports that Russia seized CAESAR self-propelled howitzers
The General Staff of the French Armed Forces denied rumors about the capture of French self-propelled artillery installations by the Russian Federation CAESAR in battles on the territory of Ukraine.
What is known
The Russian company "Uralvagonzavod" reported that the Russian army captured several 155-mm self-propelled guns CAESAR and expressed gratitude to Emmanuel Macron. The politician Régis de Castelnau also wrote about this.
A couple of days later, the French side commented on such statements. The General Staff of the French Armed Forces stated that the information about the capture of self-propelled artillery installations is not true.
The Center for Strategic Communications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eve also denied the post of the French politician and the statement of Uralvagonzavod. StratCom reported that Régis de Castelnau refers to his own Telegram- the channel in which a comment was left from the Uralvagonzavod account.
Note that the Russian media also published a refutation, but only after the statement of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces.
